BELIEVERS AND FANATICS

Resa Aslan's CNN series BELIEVER, showed a Mexican cult worshipping Santa Muerte(Saint Death), the Hindu cult of the most abysmal caste that burns dead bodies and a sub cult that eats corpse flesh, voudon in Haiti, Scientology, and the Haredi-the ultra-ultra orthodox Jews in israel.

What is it that draws people to fundamentalist monotheist cults that are absolute, no contact with modernity-forbidden, severe oppression of women, believing every single word in an ancient book riddled with malice, magical nonsense, superstition and cosmic hubris, where ancestors 'KNOW" the mind of a "God" and talk to this being who somehow always behaves likes a man. Southern Baptist, Isis, Haredi--the basic worldview is identical, just a matter of degree. They are the clean people, the world is filth, riddled with sin, and kids are brainwashed with these ideas, riddled with fear about Hell and displeasing the rabbi, priest, immam, mullah or God.
The Haredi are so extreme that a woman on any Haredi street is offensive to men, and men and little kids scream "slut", "whore" at any women on a street populated by these loathsome people. The men are excused from military service by Israeli law (no other men and women are-all others are soldiers when young), and live their entire lives studying Torah and Talmud, that's ALL they do. The little boys study 10 hours a day six days a week, only one hour devoted to anything secular. Then after eating dinner exhausted, the young boys MUST study Torah for 2 more hours.

I've read every word of the Torah several times, when young in Hebrew, and anyone who believes that mixture of tall tales, ethnic genocide ordered repeatedly by "God", stories about the tribes of Israel RETURNING TO BURNING THEIR KIDS IN FIRES--to the Caananite God Moloch, daughters and wives offered up for rape to please a king or a lustful mob, idiotic nonsense about some land "promised" by God, homophobia, killing adulterous women, putting women as property, is a brainwashed fool. Praying with little boxes wrapped around their bodies with Torah passages inside, bending their bodies in religious ecstasy all based on DELUSION.

Mankind is largely a base species. We're lucky any beautiful stuff happens at all. Why is the Israeli government letting these horrible bigots get away with this discrimination. The Haredi have been trying to forbid women to pray at the wailing wall for 27 years. It is against their "halaka" law(like Sharia) for women to touch a Torah scroll or wear tifilin(the dumb boxes) or be heard praying by men at the wall. They are not seated next to their husbands in synagogue. ONLY MEN can be close to this "God". I loathe this religious idiocy with every ounce of my being. It makes a mockery of the good part of the Jewish religion, a love of ALL knowledge and a love of TRUE righteousness. Where do these foul sects come from? I MUST BE CLEANER THAN YOU. "YOU" are so spiritually filthy that we will create a tribe and break away from normal civilization. These people never compromise. Sound familiar? Only WE are right--WE are superior to everyone else on earth. Throwng rocks and urine, little kids cursing foul insults at women, homophobia, beheading, crucifixion in 2017, acid in women's faces, don't sell a cake to a gay, on and on with this level of human slime. The Haredi women work and all these families get WELFARE if the woman does not earn enough. The rest of Israel resents this bitterly. Men and kids throw rocks at women's heads and bags of urine also. The women and men all say they live the most joyful lives on earth by isolating (no internet, cell phones are filtered from the outside world, only Haredi can call in or out), having 7-11 kids on average, absolutely forbidding ANY CHANGE from ancient days(of course they are hypocrites using modern inventions), similar to Muslims who believe the 7th century was the ideal time.
Is this in principal that different from old white people who loathe having to share justice and rights and opportunity with minorities and women? Change is feared in these types of minds--stunted, in my view.
ALL improvement in human life comes from progressive movements--from the left to use the term we've taken from the French Revolution. Cleaner air and water, women's vote, end of slavery, civil rights laws( being torn apart), gay marriage, safe cars, decent working conditions and unions and the 8 hour day, no little kids working, and much more. Fish in the oceans were dying out until the Act of 1996 limiting OVER-fishing was passed, all because of the LEFT--every time.

Raised as a Jew, even as a kid I detested these super Orthodox Jews. I have always been a skeptic to the insane rules and magical and exclusionary thinking and fear in religion, but culturally, being part of a unique historical group that though tiny in numbers, has had an amazing effect on the world. If only all religions could get rid of the absolutely unreachable dogmatic fanatics. They cause endless misery to others as they brag about "THEIR" joy in God.

Meanwhile most of the planet is such a mess and corrupt, that the oceans are being fished out, as there is no enforced law except for a few more caring nations. These types of things are just what the right hates. They love ruining everything clean for profit.

I just hope I live long enough to see Trump and his circle caught REDHANDED-no escape because of spineless moral cowards in the GOP. Look for a constitutional crisis when Trump tries to get rid of all who look for the truth. What a repugnant human being. Yes, Hilary was, well, Hilary, but to willfully elect such a repulsive man shows how ugly America really is. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, Little Baby Donnie?
