We celebrated communion in our church yesterday. I wake up today with a fresh remembrance that I individually can commune with God through Jesus Christ.
While Hindus believe that we are each God, that we are each deity; while Muslims believe that we each are so far apart from God we require unrealistic laws and rituals in order to reach and commune with him;
The Bible teaches - and we Christ-followers believe - that we are each individuals apart from God but we individually c...ommune with Him in the closest of relationship through Jesus Christ.
Communion. Individuals in community (with God) through a form of sustenance.
While I fail, dreadfully, at following Christ's teachings, each communion reminds me of the forgiveness and love of my Holy God through Jesus Christ.
