Yes and yes. The 16 year olds that are engaged enough to vote, are probably making a more educated vote than most adults.
At 16 I had my own apartment, a job & a drivers license but couldn't vote.

Overall children & teens need to be more involved in our democratic processes.
Lowering the voting age would help engage more teens.
