white graduation 2015

We can't open a SOTA West but are considering a military academy? Why? Is this the only type of school for us to consider as a "successful" prototype for our students? Were we, parents and students, asked if we would be interested in this type of program versus alternatives or is the thought "if we build it, they will come?"

"White has floated the idea before as a way to increase options and post-white graduation 2015 opportunities for city students. He points to the Western New York Ma...ritime Charter School in Buffalo as a model to follow."

"That school opened in 2004 and boasts of an 88 percent graduation rate. Its students abide by strict standards of dress and discipline and can participate in marksmanship, fife and drum corps or color guard. Of its 58 Class of 2015 graduates, six went on to enlist in the military, compared to 20 who enrolled in four-year colleges and 27 in two-year colleges."
